Figuring it all out...

I haven't been blogging much at all this year...

I feel like I've just needed time to figure myself out.  I'm still learning.  I'll be thirty next month.  30!!!  I'm excited to be thirty because I'm going into it with joy and great expectation.  I feel like I accomplished a lot in my twenties.  I grew up, I had some babies, I made our house a home, I fell in love with a little boy in South Korea and I learned that I am absolutely for sure in love with the man I married.

I've also been to the deepest darkest places of my soul and back again.  I never want to go back to that place but I wouldn't trade it for anything because I learned so much.  I learned that Jesus will be there to save me every time.  I've learned to rely on him and I'm still learning to trust him with my life... that may be something that I am always "learning".  But it's insane that He used something that trapped me and made me feel like I was suffocating and turned it into this beautiful life where I am more thankful and at peace than ever before.

I've learned that the way I treat myself (what I eat, exercise, etc...) affects every day of my life.  And if I want to feel good I have to be good to myself.

I'm so glad that I am where I am.  And I'm excited to learn more and change more.

So thankful for these ones...

This little lady brings me so much joy.  It's ridiculous.  Her heart is huge.  I'm learning a lot from her...

And this one is either being crazy...

Or she's doing this... There's really no in between.  Love her so much.

And this guy.  There's so much I could say.  But we'll just say that I'm lucky.

And I wish I wish I wish that I could post pictures of our tiny one.  He's so awesome.  I'm so proud to call him my son.  I'll get to share him soon enough!

So I guess I'm having a mushy kind of day.  I'm just thankful for this life.

Weekend Update.

This last weekend we did our second garage sale fundraiser for our adoption.

It went sooo good.

Thank you to all of our amazing friends and family who donated their belongings and helped out at the sale... and friends who came and bought our stuff!

We raised $1472!!!

Isn't that great?  My goal was $1000 so to be almost $500 over that feels so good!

Also the garage sale was a great way to share our story.  People were constantly asking about our son.  Where he was, when he's coming home, what he's like???  So many questions and I LOVE to talk about him.  He's on my mind 24/7 so to talk about him so much was good for me.

And updates on our boy...

He's almost 14 months.  He's a BIG boy.  He weighs almost as much as Faye (she's 3 1/2).  He has 8 teeth now.  I don't know if he's full on walking yet but I know he's taking steps.

And no news on when we get to fly out and bring him home.  But the good news is that today they started processing EP's (exit permits) in South Korea for 2012.  FINALLY!!!  This means that these babies are going to start coming home, which means we are that much closer to bringing our little lovey home.  Oh Lord, bring him home!
